The 3rd United Nations Academic Impact Seoul Forum was held on November 4th, 2016 in Seoul. The forum was co-hosted by UNAI Korea and Handong Global University (one of UNAI’s Hub Universities).
Under the theme of ‘Global Citizenship Education: Directions and Platforms for its Implementation in Higher Education’, there were 200 participants from academia, international organizations, government and youth representatives. All participants shared current practices and discussed feasible platforms and action plans, in order to implement Global Citizenship Education in universities.
The forum was a meaningful occasion, as all participants were able to gain a wider perspective on how Global Citizenship Education would attain the 17 targets of UN Sustainable Development Goals. It enabled to explore the actual application of Global Citizenship Education to the international development projects, both in the classroom and on the field.
