About Us

UNAI Korea

UNAI Korea is the Korean association in Support of United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), which was launched by the United Nations in 2010.
As an educational implementing body of UNAI, which promotes cooperation between the United Nations and academia through education in partnership with over 2,000 higher education and research institutions around the world, UNAI Korea collaborates with domestic and international academic institutes to foster global citizenship education. Through these efforts, it aims to contribute to the attainment of the three core objectives of the UN Charter.

Organization Overview and Activities

In 2013, UNAI Korea was registered as a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. Since then, it has continued to carry out a wide range of programs to promote global citizenship education both domestically and internationally and to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Establishment of Educational Institution and Curriculum Operation

In addition, UNAI Korea established and operates the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Global Education (IGE) and the Kim Young-Gil GRACE School in collaboration with Handong Global University, offering the world’s first systematically structured curriculum in holistic global citizenship education. Grounded in interdisciplinary convergence and collaboration across academic fields, UNAI Korea cultivates holistic global leaders and takes the lead in practical efforts to address global challenges.
